DRYERS/DEHYDRATORS:
Solar dryers:
Solar Dryers that use solar energy for the purpose of food dehydration. The beauty of this machine is that it does not require electricity to operate, just the Sun. it is highly hygienic as it is Stainless mesh in the construction of the shelves, thus making it food-safe. It does not alter the food taste, colour or nutrients but in turn, preserves them.
At Muharata, we are able to customize the dryer to fit our clients’ specifications. With this machine, one is able to dry large quantities of fruits, leafy vegetables, root vegetables, meats…etc. Dryers are available in all sizes to customer requirements.
Electric dryers/ dehydrators:
Our dryer uses a heat source and air flow to reduce the water content of foods. The water content in agricultural produce is usually very high, typically 85–95% for various fruits and vegetables and 65–75% for various meats. Removing moisture restricts various bacteria from growing and spoiling the product. Moreover, removing moisture from food drastically reduces the weight of the food. Thus, our dryers are used to preserve and extend the shelf life of various products. Muharata dryers’ basic parts usually consist of a heating element, a fan and air vents allowing for air circulation and perforated trays to lay the product upon. The dryer’s heating element, fans and vents simultaneously work to remove moisture the appliance’s fan then blows the warm, moist air out of the appliance via the air vents. This process continues for a few hours until the product is dried to substantially lower water content, usually down to 15%.
Rotary dryers:
The Rotary Drier is widely used in the field of Animal Feed Processing and chemical industry. It is made of a rotary body, lifting blades, driving device, supporting device etc. The dryer has advantages of reasonable structure, high efficiency and low energy consumption. Rotary dryers consist of a horizontally inclined rotating cylinder. The materials are fed at one end and discharged at the other end. In direct-type rotary dryers, hot air moves through the cylinder in direct contact with the material, either with or against the direction of its flow. The cylinder is equipped with paddles, which lift the material and shower it down through the dry air stream.
Capacity can range from 1000 Kg to 10000 Kg
Flash dryers are also available for floury materials which cannot be satisfactorily dried using conventional dryers.
